Punch Fountain Recipe - Recipes for Fountains

The once dated Punch or Champagne Fountain is now referred to as 'retro chic' because of its new appeal. Plus, rental fees are reasonable so many event planners are incorporating 2 or 3 punch or beverage fountains, strategically placing them in various locations throughout the event to suggest a more pleasant flow of traffic.

Punch fountains, also called beverage fountains are made from stainless steel or aluminum alloy (a softer metal which is less expensive but also dings much easier -- so probably not ideal for a commercial environment). Liquid beverages are placed in the bowl of the fountain where a pump and interior tube carries it to the top and through the serving nozzles. Tumblers and  Champagne flutes are placed under the nozzles to fill.  Here are several punch recipes:

Punch Fountain Recipe - Wedding Punch
2 fifth bottles Southern Comfort or Bourbon
Juice of 12 Lemons (12 oz.)
1 c. sugar
1 pint very strong tea
2 bottles (56 oz.) Club Soda

Mix thoroughly. Pour over ice, adding Club Soda last. Decorate with fruit. Yield: 30 five oz. drinks.

Punch Fountain Recipe - Mai Tai Punch
3 liters Rum
1 gallon Chablis
1 gallon Orange juice
1 gallon lemonade
1 gallon pineapple juice
Ice to chill. Garnish with fresh sliced fruit floating in the bowl.

Punch Fountain Recipe - Margarita
3 quarts Triple Sec
3 liters Tequila
9 quarts Sweet and Sour Mix
3 quarts Water
Ice to chill.
Garnish with thinly sliced fresh limes.
